Dr Jeremy Richardson

Dr Jeremy Richardson is a Melbourne-based and Australian-trained Specialist Plastic Surgeon. With international fellowship training, he specialises in facial cosmetic rejuvenation and reconstructive surgery (brow lift, facelift, neck lift, blepharoplasty eye surgery and rhinoplasty nose surgery) and also performs plastic surgical procedures of the breast, body and skin.

Dr Richardson and his team take the greatest of care to restore and rejuvenate, and assists his patients to achieve the goals and lifestyle they desire. With his caring attitude, meticulous attention to detail, and personable manner, he aims to help you become the best you can be.

Fellowships and Membership

Training

After graduating with honours in Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery, Dr Richardson completed his Postgraduate Diploma of Surgical Anatomy whilst undertaking three years of general surgery, prior to commencing his plastic surgery training in Melbourne.

Upon gaining his Specialist Plastic Surgeon Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Dr Richardson was appointed by the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh (RACS, Ed) the prestigious Senior Clinical Plastic & Reconstructive Fellowship at The Oxford University Hospital’s NHS Foundation Trust (John Radcliffe, The Churchill and The Nuffield Hospitals), United Kingdom, pursuing his subspecialty interests in head and neck, breast, and cleft lip and palate surgery.

Subsequently, Dr Richardson completed further aesthetic (cosmetic) surgical training in the Harley Street Medical District of London and returned to Australia via Pakistan with a volunteer cleft lip and palate surgical team.

Appointments

Dr Richardson’s private rooms are at Queens Parade Specialists in Fitzroy North, Melbourne – the home of ESSENCEskin – together with his wife, Dr Sophia Richardson, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon.

He is an appointed Consultant Plastic Surgeon with admitting privileges at: Epworth Freemasons, Epworth Richmond, St Vincent’s Private Kew, St John of God Berwick, and Vermont Private Hospital.

Dr Richardson holds a number of appointments as a VMO (Visiting Medical Officer) Specialist Plastic Surgeon at various public hospitals in Melbourne. These include The Skin Health Institute (Carlton) where he performs skin cancer, melanoma and reconstructive surgery of the face and body.

Volunteer Work

Mr Richardson is actively involved in training and teaching in Australia, and has provided medical and surgical care with a number of Non-Government Organisations (NGOs) in Thailand and The Republic of Yemen. He is also an active a volunteer surgeon with Interplast, providing cleft lip and palate, and burns surgical care in Pakistan and Papua New Guinea.
